Match report A lovely setting, friendly opponents, who supplied tea and cakes for all the players and parents, and ultimately a professional performance by WGC vs Reed CC.

WGC won the toss and asked Reed to bat. Reed were not going to hold back and all the early batsmen went onto the attack to prevent the bowlers from settling. Charlie and Connor though were able to take wickets at regular intervals, and when Jordan entered the attack, the Reed players were keen to take him on! Jordan took three middle order wickets, with Freddie Stewart and Owen Sallows on the attack for Reed. Owen finishing with a well deserved 30. Rob & Callum took a wicket each, and bowled tidily to leave Reed to close the innings on 74-9

In Reply, Jordan and Rob opened, and Rob was straight out of the traps with a number of fours. The running in particular was of the highest standard. Jordan initially happy to take singles, but then with a flurry of fours and sixes pushed on toward the target. Rob remained not out on 31, and Jordan finished the match with a pulled six to finish on 42 not out, WGC completing the victory by 10 wickets.
