Welwyn Garden City batted first and found runs hard to come by against some tight Broxbourne bowling. Daniel and Charlie top scored with 8 runs each, while Rian and Adam S both hit fine boundaries. Wicket takers for Broxbourne were Thomas with 1 and Edward with 2. Edward also pulled off a fantastic run out with a direct hit from the outfield!

WGC finished on 243-4.

Edward top scored for Broxbourne with 9 while Stanley and Thomas contributed 25 from their partnership and at the halfway stage Broxbourne looked to be cruising to victory. Charlie kept WGC in the game with 3 wickets, one of which was a good caught and bowled. However some fine hitting from Olly S ensured that Broxbourne ran out as victors, finishing on 260-3.

A good game with many players from both sides playing their first competitive match, played in a good spirit on a cold evening.
