Match report A comprehensive victory for WGC U15 now sees them top of the table after visiting near neighbours, Stevenage CC. Firstly thanks must go to Stevenage for being able to produce a playable wicket after so much recent rainfall.

WGC batted first on a green wicket, with immediate success first ball of the innings for Stevenage after Harry was bowled first ball. Consolidation firstly from Jordan and Taylor, then Jordan began to acclearate the scoring with an array of fine shots, to post 52* almost without anyone realising how fast Jordan had got there. Taylor happy to play a supporting role as 100 was posted from the first 15 overs. With 4 wickets down, Willem and James were charged with pushing on, and they did just that, 51 from the last five overs, both finishing on 25*, James flicking the last ball of the innings for six over fine leg, WGC finishing 151-4 off 20 overs.

Although the total looked imposing, Kinney the Stevenage opener, went for it from first ball, and 40 was swiftly posted from the first five overs. The brakes were gradually applied to the scoring, and once the bowlers were into the middle order, it became clear that 151 was too tall an ask for Stevenage. Calum weighed in with two wickets, but pick of the bowlers were Tom & Rob, both using the conditions expertly, using their medium pace to move the ball at will, leaving the Stevenage lower having to defend stoutly, closing their innings on 97-7, a match played in good spirit between both sides.
