Welwyn Garden City Cricket Club Under 15 v Knebworth Park on Tue 02 Jul 2013 at 18h00
Welwyn Garden City Cricket Club Lost by 86 runs
Match report
Ouch.. Knebworth came looking for revenge, and delivered it!
WGC won the toss and bowled first on a dark and dank evening at Digswell Park. Knebworth were out of the traps like a hare, and rattled along at 8 an over. Three wickets in quick succession dragged WGC back into it, but Daniel Cowell for Knebworth blasted a quick 50 and with the middle order working around it left a formidable 156-6. Two wickets for Connor and three for Jordan were the pick of the bowlers.
In return, excellent opening bowling left WGC facing an uphill battle. James & Ben were the only batters into double figures, with the innings drawing to a close at 70-9
