WGCCC Juniors welcomes guests from Ukraine

Welwyn Garden City Cricket Club invites any children visiting from Ukraine to have a go at playing cricket with us.

We love our sports, and we love seeing children enjoy sport.  It helps children make new friends, learn new skills, keep fit, develop personally, and do activities outside of school.  Sporting exercise also helps with mental health.

Our whole community wants to help our guests from Ukraine in any way that we can.  We would welcome any children who want to play sport at our club.  We are an inclusive club with a friendly family atmosphere.  We offer cricket to girls and boys of all ages, all abilities, and all levels of experience.

We are a safe environment, with all of our coaches and volunteers DBS-checked and qualified to coach by the ECB.

All children are most welcome to try us out, whether or not they have played cricket before.  Most of our children come to us never having played before, and loads of them are amazed at how much fun it is.  Our guests can play and train with us for as long a time, or as short a time, as they like.

For more information, please contact our head of Junior Cricket, Russell Haggar, at juniorbees@wgccc.co.uk or on 07889 607 855.
